Boxers are some of the fittest athletes around. To go 12 x 3 minute rounds in a boxing ring requires optimal cardiovascular endurance. The interval structure of a fight means boxers often train this way too. Despite being an intense sport the training can easily be adapted to accommodate any fitness level.
